Doug Larmour

Doug Larmour is an award-winning VFX Supervisor with over 25 years’ experience. He learned his trade at MPC, rising through compositing to become VFX Supervisor and Global Head of 2D, leading teams on The Jungle Book, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Revenant. He went on to work at Weta and Outpost before joining One of Us, where he won an Emmy for The Alienist. Since 2018, Doug has been an independent production-side VFX Supervisor on House of the Dragon (HBO), Constellation (Apple TV+) and The Wheel of Time (Amazon), guiding productions from pre-greenlight consultancy through prep, shoot and post. He has also directed second unit, drone and element shoots. Rooted in traditional plate-based VFX, he is fully versed in virtual production, AI and ML technology, using them on multiple projects. A director-led, strong communicator, Doug has successfully delivered bespoke imagery for everything from smaller-budget films to major franchise-driven episodic productions.
